1. Information We Collect
Color Canvas does not collect any personally identifiable information. We do not ask you to sign up, log in, or provide your name, email, phone number, address, or any account credentials. We do not collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, IP addresses, crash reports, usage analytics, or location data.
2. Permissions the App Requests
The app may request the following Android permissions only when you actively use a related feature. None of the data accessed through these permissions ever leaves your device.
- Camera — used only if you tap "Take photo" inside the Photo-to-Coloring feature. The captured image is processed entirely on your device to generate a coloring outline. The original photo and the generated outline are never uploaded.
- Photos / Media — used only if you tap "Pick a photo" to select an existing image from your gallery as the source for a coloring outline. The selected image is read on-device only.
- Storage — used to save your finished coloring pages to your device so you can view them later in the "My Pages" tab and share them yourself.
- Vibration — used to provide haptic feedback while you draw (e.g. the gentle "tick" when a brush touches the canvas).
3. How Your Data Is Used
All processing (edge detection on photos, brush rendering, audio playback, haptic feedback, daily streak tracking) happens locally on your device. Your photos, drawings, and progress never leave your phone unless you choose to share them yourself via Android's share sheet (for example, sending a finished coloring page to WhatsApp or Instagram). In that case, the recipient app's own privacy policy applies — not ours.
4. Third-Party Services
Color Canvas does not integrate any third-party SDKs that collect data. There are no advertising networks, no analytics providers (such as Firebase, Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, or AppsFlyer), no crash-reporting services, and no remote configuration. The app does not connect to our servers because we do not operate any servers for this app.
5. Children's Privacy
Color Canvas is rated suitable for ages 3 and up and is designed to be safe for children. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children (or from anyone else). The app complies with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Google Play Families Policy because no data is collected at all.
6. Data Storage & Deletion
Your saved coloring pages, daily-challenge streak, language preference, and brush settings are stored locally in your device's app sandbox. To delete this data, simply uninstall the app, or use Android Settings → Apps → Color Canvas → Storage → Clear data. Because we do not retain a copy of anything, there is nothing for you to request from us.
7. Security
Since no personal data leaves your device, there is no transmission to secure. Your locally stored art and preferences are protected by Android's standard app-sandbox isolation provided by your operating system.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we add a feature in the future that changes how data is handled (for example, optional cloud sync), we will update this page and revise the "Effective date" above before the feature ships. Continued use of the app after such an update means you accept the revised policy.
